The special features of Salt's Up smoked salts:
Our salts are made from high-quality sea salt, and are free of additives. No chemical processes or artificial colourings are used when making smoked salts. Smoked salts are cold smoked from 48 hours to 14 days, using a slow smoking process, which gives the sea salt the maximum smoky flavour, yet does not make it bitter. The length of smoking time depends on the wood and the salt, and defines whether the salt turns out dark brown and extra smoky, or light and mildly smoky.
